“8 minutes & 46 seconds” is a visual tribute to honour the life of George Floyd and the BLM movement. The painting consists of 100+ words that talk to the core of racism, inequality and white privilege. I’m hoping that my art will serve as a constant and permanent reminder of what happened to George Floyd. Let us never forget the circumstances surrounding his death. We can all do more to address white privilege and racial intolerance. Rest In Peace George Floyd and all those that have senselessly died as a result of their skin colour.
